Overview
Experience Thailand from the saddle on an 11-day cycling adventure from Chiang Mai to Hua Hin, covering approximately 730 km as we journey from the mountainous landscapes of Northern Thailand toward the warmer central plains and coastal lowlands.
Beginning in Chiang Mai, the route leads south through some of Northern Thailand’s most dramatic countryside. Ride through Pai, Ban Wat Chan, Mae Chaem and Op Luang National Park, tackling rewarding mountain roads, forested valleys and remote rural landscapes during the opening stages of the journey.
As we continue south through Tak, Kamphaeng Phet and Uthai Thani, the terrain gradually becomes gentler, with longer stretches of open countryside, agricultural landscapes and quieter provincial roads. The journey then reaches Kanchanaburi, before continuing through Ratchaburi and Phetchaburi toward the Gulf of Thailand.
With daily cycling stages ranging from approximately 50 to 85 km, this tour is designed for riders looking for a substantial multi-day cycling journey. Each day reveals a different side of Thailand, from northern highlands and forested mountain roads to traditional towns, farming communities and the flatter landscapes of central Thailand.
The adventure finishes in Hua Hin, completing an impressive overland journey across the country.
More than simply cycling between two cities, this is a true north-to-south cycling adventure across Thailand—combining mountain riding, changing landscapes, cultural encounters and the satisfaction of travelling from Chiang Mai to Hua Hin by bike.
