Day 1: BANGKOK - WELCOME TO THAILAND

Arrival & First Day Itinerary ✈️🏨


Upon your arrival, the Vietnam Adventure Cycling team will greet you at the airport and escort you to the Rembrandt Sukhumvit Hotel (or similar) for check-in and some well-deserved rest. In the afternoon, we’ll gather for a bike fitting session 🚴‍♂️🔧 to make sure your equipment is perfectly adjusted for the road ahead.

As evening falls, join us for a welcome dinner 🍽️🥂 where our guide will provide a briefing on the journey, sharing essential details and tips to prepare you for the exciting days to come.

Day 2: BANGKOK - SAMUT SONGGRAM

🌅 As dawn breaks over the city, our team from Vietnam Adventure Cycling welcomes you for a smooth transfer out of the urban sprawl. Leaving behind the hustle of Bangkok, we venture southward toward a quieter world—where rice paddies glisten in the morning sun and narrow canals wind through sleepy villages.

🚴 Our ride begins on gentle, winding paths that take us deep into the heart of Thailand’s rustic charm. Pedaling at an easy pace, we glide past water buffalo grazing in open fields, coconut palms swaying in the breeze, and stilted homes perched over shimmering waters. Each moment is a window into a slower, softer rhythm of life.

🍛 We pause midday for a delicious local lunch, where regional flavors greet us with warmth and spice. The afternoon ride leads us along tranquil riverside trails to our destination: a serene boutique hotel nestled on the banks of the Mae Klong River.

🌌 As evening falls, enjoy a leisurely dinner beneath the stars, serenaded by the sounds of nature. Rest and relax in the peaceful embrace of Samut Songkhram—a perfect beginning to your cycling odyssey.

Day 3: SAMUT SONGRAM - HUA HIN

After an early morning start, we head straight to the Amphawa Floating Market—one of Thailand’s most iconic and authentic cultural experiences. As boats weave their way through the canal, you’ll witness a vibrant scene of daily life: vendors calling out over the water, the aroma of grilled seafood and fresh mangoes in the air, and the occasional glimpse of locals bathing right in the canal. This isn’t a tourist show—it’s real, raw, and wonderfully Thai.
After soaking in the morning market energy, we return to the hotel for breakfast before gearing up for our ride. Today’s journey takes us along quiet rural roads, pedaling through peaceful villages and open countryside. Our route leads us to Phra Nakhon Khiri, or ‘Holy City Hill,’ where royal history meets sweeping hilltop views.
From there, we ride on toward Haad Chao Samran, a serene beach where we’ll enjoy a seaside lunch before continuing south along the coast. Gentle sea breezes and coastal views accompany us all the way to Hua Hin, a charming beach town where we settle in for the night.

Day 4: HUA HIN - PRACHUAP KHIRIKHANH

We begin the day riding out from our hotel, following quiet coastal roads that run alongside the railway and peaceful beaches of southern Thailand. Along the way, we pass fishing villages and scenic shorelines untouched by mass tourism.
By midday, we stop for a local lunch before transferring to our secluded beach resort near Ban Krut. Nestled along one of the narrowest parts of Thailand—just 12.38 km from the sea to the Myanmar border—this peaceful spot offers the perfect place to unwind.
Dinner is served at the resort, where the sound of waves lulls us into a restful night.

Day 5: PRACHUAP KHIRIKHANH - CHUMPHON

🍳 After breakfast, we set off from our hotel and begin cycling along the peaceful coastline, where palm farms line the road and waves gently lap the shore. The ride offers stunning views of the Gulf of Thailand, with quiet roads and a soft sea breeze to guide us forward.
🚴‍♀️ As we pedal through this tranquil landscape, we soak in the final views of the eastern coast—tomorrow, we’ll cross over toward the Andaman Sea. After completing around 75 km, we hop on the bus for a short transfer to our lunch stop.
🌿 From there, it’s just a short ride to our hotel, a relaxing retreat tucked away in nature. The evening ends with a hearty dinner and a well-earned rest.

Day 6: CHUMPHON - KHAO SOK NATIONAL PARK

🍳 We begin the day with a 3-hour transfer to Surat Thani, where a local lunch fuels us up for the journey ahead. From here, the landscape begins to transform, revealing the true stars of the region—towering limestone karsts, sculpted by nature over 260 million years. Once part of a vast underwater reef stretching to Vietnam, these dramatic peaks—some soaring nearly a kilometre high—will accompany us for days to come.
🚴‍♀️ Our ride heads west through lush greenery toward Ratchaprapha Dam, a breathtaking reservoir where pale limestone islands rise from emerald waters like a freshwater version of Phang Nga Bay. We cycle approximately 40 km through this surreal scenery, then continue to the main road.
🚐 A short transfer brings us to our hilltop retreat, perched high with panoramic views over the karst-studded landscape. Dinner is served as the sun dips behind the mountains—an unforgettable end to the day.

Day 7: KHAO SOK NATIONAL - FREEDAY

🍳 After breakfast, the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace in the heart of Khao Sok National Park—one of Thailand’s most treasured natural wonders. Established in 1980, the park is home to the world’s oldest evergreen rainforest, dramatic limestone cliffs, hidden caves, and the breathtaking Cheow Larn Lake.
🦜 Wildlife lovers may spot elephants, hornbills, or playful langur monkeys as you explore winding trails, rivers, and waterfalls. Take a refreshing dip, hike through the jungle, or simply relax and absorb the sounds of untouched nature.

Day 8: KHAO SOK NATONAL PARK - KHAO LAK

🍳 After a well-deserved rest day, we’re back in the saddle, ready for a fresh adventure. We begin our ride from the hotel with an easy 11 km warm-up along flat, palm-lined roads. Flowing rivers, waving children, and peaceful village scenes accompany us as we ease back into the rhythm of the ride.
🚴‍♀️ A gentle climb follows, leading us up to a scenic viewpoint where we pause for a well-earned water break and take in the sweeping vistas. Then it’s time for the reward—an exhilarating descent toward the Andaman Coast.
🌊 From here, we ride alongside the sparkling sea, with the Andaman breeze at our backs, all the way to Khao Lak, where our beachfront resort awaits. Dinner is served by the waves—an idyllic close to a perfect cycling day.

Day 9: KHAO LAK - PHANG NGA

🍳 After breakfast, we leave the coastline behind and head inland, cycling east through rolling hills, lush forests, and rows of rubber plantations. The landscape shifts with every turn, offering a true taste of Southern Thailand’s countryside.
🚴‍♀️ By late morning, we arrive in Phang Nga, a laid-back town known for its vibrant cultural mix and down-to-earth charm. From Buddhist temples to mosques and Chinese shrines, Phang Nga is a melting pot of traditions, all within easy walking distance.
🍜 After a local lunch, we switch gears and head out by boat into the breathtaking Phang Nga Bay, where towering limestone karsts rise dramatically from emerald waters. We visit the iconic James Bond Island, made famous in The Man with the Golden Gun, and stop at Koh Panyee, a remarkable fishing village built entirely on stilts over the sea—complete with a mosque and floating football pitch.

Day 10: PHANG NGA - AO NANG

🍳 This morning, we roll out from the hotel alongside our trusty two-wheeled companions, cycling through serene inland landscapes before making our way down to the Andaman Coast.
🚴‍♀️ Our journey ends in Ao Nang, a vibrant beachside town buzzing with energy—a lively contrast to the quiet countryside we've grown used to. As the sun dips lower, the streets come alive with glowing shopfronts, sizzling food stalls, and the sound of clinking glasses.
🌅 While Ao Nang’s beach has its charm, the real gems lie just offshore: the dramatic limestone shores of Tonsai, Railay, and islands like Ko Hong, Ko Poda, and Ko Gai. After a full day in the saddle, a cold beer or cocktail by the sea is the perfect way to toast the journey so far.

Day 11: AO NANG - PHUKET

Sit back and relax as we cruise past limestone cliffs and island-dotted waters, reflecting on the journey and experiences shared along the way. Upon arrival in Phuket, the tour officially comes to an end.

Depending on your onward plans, assistance with hotel transfers or airport arrangements can be provided.
