DAY 1: CHIANG MAI – WELCOME TO THAILAND

🌟 Let the wheels roll and the adventure begin! 🚴♂️ Upon arrival in Chiang Mai, our Vietnam Adventure Cycling guide will greet you at the airport and transfer you to our charming hotel located in the heart of the city. Take time to relax and explore at your own pace before we gather for a professional bike fitting session to ensure you're ready for the journey ahead. In the evening, we’ll come together for a warm welcome dinner—an opportunity to meet your fellow riders and get excited for the adventure to come. |

DAY 2: CHIANG MAI – CHAI PRAKAN
|
🌄 Into the Highlands, Where Trails Tell Stories 🚴♂️ After a one-hour transfer from the city, we begin our mountain biking adventure along a scenic singletrack winding through towering teak forests. The trail leads us to a refreshing waterfall, where we pause for lunch surrounded by nature’s tranquility. Today’s ride is a true test of endurance and spirit as we climb rugged mountain paths shaped by local hill tribes. We pass through vibrant rice fields and encounter the Akha, Lisu, and Palaung communities. The Palaung women, known for their distinctive brass waistbands, offer a vivid glimpse into their unique culture as they work the fields. As the sun begins to set, we arrive in Chai Prakan for a well-earned dinner and overnight stay. |

DAY 3: CHAI PRAKAN – CHIANG RAI

🚴♂️ Pedal Through Peaceful Villages & Pagoda Views 🏯 After a leisurely breakfast, we begin today’s ride on quiet back roads that wind through tranquil villages and lush rice paddies. The gentle terrain offers a relaxing contrast to the previous day’s mountain challenge, allowing you to soak in the serene beauty of northern Thailand’s countryside. We pause in the charming village of Malika for a delicious local lunch, then transfer by bus to Chiang Rai. Upon arrival, we visit the iconic White Pagoda—a stunning fusion of traditional Thai and contemporary design. This brief cultural stop adds a touch of artistry to the day before we settle into our comfortable hotel for the night. |

DAY 4: CHIANG RAI – GOLDEN TRIANGLE

🌿 Ride Through History and Hillside Harmony 🚴♂️ After a hearty breakfast, we set off on a scenic ride through gently rolling terrain and stretches of flat road. The route takes us past expansive rubber plantations and vibrant rice paddies, where water buffalo plow the fields and farmers sow seeds—offering a timeless glimpse into rural Thai life. Our journey leads us to the ancient temple of Chiang Saen, just south of the legendary Golden Triangle. After exploring this historic site, we transfer by van to a peaceful lodge nestled in an H’Mong village high above a pristine valley. The views here are spectacular, and the atmosphere invites quiet reflection and cultural connection. DAY 5: GOLDEN TRIANGLE – CHIANG KHONG

As we leave the main routes behind, we transition onto narrow concrete paths that lead us through charming villages, where daily life unfolds in the rice paddies and orchards. The scenery is a harmonious blend of verdant fields, rustic homes, and warm smiles from locals. Midway, we pause for a delicious local lunch—an ideal moment to recharge and savor regional flavors. Refreshed, we continue toward the riverside town of Chiang Khong, nestled along the banks of the Mekong River. Our hotel offers a tranquil setting to unwind after the ride. As evening falls, enjoy a leisurely dinner and reflect on the day’s journey. |

DAY 6: CHIANG KHONG – PHUTAWAN VILLAGE

🚴♂️ From Riverbanks to Mountain Peaks 🌄 We begin the day cycling along the tranquil banks of the Mekong River, following the border southward toward the mountain village of Phutawan. The route starts with flat, easy terrain, gradually giving way to more challenging hills as we ascend toward our destination. As the elevation rises, so does the scenery—lush forested slopes, quiet rural roads, and panoramic views of the valley below. Upon arrival in Phutawan village, we settle in for a peaceful evening surrounded by nature. Dinner is served in the village, offering a warm and authentic taste of local hospitality. |

DAY 7: PHUTAWAN VILLAGE – BORDER CROSSING – BAN XIANG LOM

🌄 Downhill Thrills and a New Country Ahead 🚴♂️ We begin the day with an exhilarating downhill ride from Phutawan village, covering 30 km of scenic descent toward the Laos border. The gentle terrain and fresh mountain air make for a refreshing start to the morning. Upon reaching the border, ensure your Laos visa—issued in advance from the Laos embassy in Bangkok—is ready for crossing. After completing immigration formalities, we continue cycling through peaceful countryside roads, soaking in the changing landscapes as we enter Laos. The day ends at your charming guesthouse in Ban Xiang Lom, where you can relax and enjoy the quiet beauty of your new surroundings. |

DAY 8: BAN XIANG LOM – LUANG PRABANG

🚴♂️ Forest Trails and a Ferry to the Finish 🛶 We begin the day with a two-hour transfer from Ban Xiang Lom to our cycling start point. From here, the team and bikes will be ready for the final leg of our journey. The route winds through lush green forest, offering a peaceful and scenic ride through the heart of Laos. After a local lunch along the way, we continue pedaling toward the Mekong River. The day ends with a memorable crossing on a local ferry, gliding across the water to reach the enchanting town of Luang Prabang. This UNESCO World Heritage site marks a beautiful and culturally rich conclusion to our adventure. |
