But the journey doesn’t pause for long—we’re soon heading south, riding past rice paddies and riverside paths toward Vang Vieng, a landscape framed by towering limestone cliffs and lush karst formations. ⛰️🌿

The road winds gently on to Vientiane, Laos’ laid-back capital resting on the banks of the Mekong. With its tree-lined avenues, ancient stupas, and riverfront cafés, it’s the perfect place to pause, reflect, and soak in the slower pace of life. ☕🏛️

✈️ A short flight takes us to Pakse, where the final leg of our cycling adventure begins. We ride south into the dreamlike beauty of Si Phan Don—the Four Thousand Islands, where palm-lined shores, waterfalls, and sleepy fishing villages blend into a picture of peaceful paradise. 🌴🚣‍♀️
